Job Description
- Req#: 285181
- Provide support and assistance to nursing staff under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Provide a support service to clinical and patient areas.
- Transport patients to and from treatment and diagnostic areas as directed by the NUM or the Registered Nurse
- Attend Code Black, Red, Yellow, Brown and Blue emergency calls as outlined in the SHSEH Emergency Response
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to identify concerns when communicating with others
- Ability to work as an effective member of the team and under direction of the Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work demands
- Good knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the wards person in applying these principles
- Communication to the delivery of safe, compassionate and person-centred care
