      SET THE COURSE

      This is a production support position within the Distribution Center which performs a variety of functions to support the fulfillment of multi business channel customer orders. Responsible for picking orders directly from primary product locations on multi-level mezzanine. Also, manually or electronically picks and/or packs non conveyable single and multiple unit merchandise orders, following approved procedures.

      BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

      • Picks merchandise orders accurately and meets minimum productivity picking standards.

      • Picks merchandise from specific locations via paper pick ticket, RF or voice directed commands.

      • Knows and is familiar with all storage locations within the distribution center.

      • Notifies the Lead or Supervisor of merchandise that is damaged, missing or incorrectly stored in any given location.

      • Assists in manual, RF or electronic voice directed inventory replenishment, moves and/or receiving put-away. Assists in the return put-away of incorrectly picked merchandise to active floor location.

      • Packs merchandise via paper pick ticket, RF, electronic voice or ecommerce business processes and performs unit verification.

      • Accurately Packs merchandise and meets minimum productivity packing standards.

      • Adequately protects packed merchandise against breakage and performs any VAS services in accordance with varying customer requirements.

      • Packs orders neatly and correctly into appropriately sized box to avoid bending, crushing, shifting or leaking of items in transit.

      • Assists in training of new Warehouse Associates on picking and packing duties.

      • General housekeeping of the warehouse work areas as needed i.e., disposes of empty boxes and packaging appropriately into proper recycle/disposal containers in order to maintain safe and clean working conditions.

      • Perform counts and assist with yearly physical inventory.

      • Other warehouse duties as assigned.

      ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

      • High school Diploma/GED.

      • 2 plus years’ work experience in a warehouse environment.

      • Proficient competency level in reading, understanding and verbally communicating in English in order to carry out written or verbal instructions. Proven competency to speak and read English.

      • Attention to detail and ability to work with speed, stamina and accuracy while also following safety procedures.

      • This position requires accuracy, speed, physical endurance and excellent attendance.

      • Experience using RF / Voice directed equipment or third party technologies desirable.

      • Must be able to use a headset for interactive communication with voice-directed picking system.

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric driven, production based environment.

      • Good basic math skills - ability to count, add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply and divide.

      • Intermediate computer skills.

      • Ability to work in a production line.

      • Agility to bend, twist, stoop and reach above shoulders to floor-level & upper shelving, conveyor, and merchandise pallets.

      • Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs safely.

      • Stamina to stand, walk, push or pull cartons or pick carts and perform repetitive duties for entire work shift.

      • Detail oriented.

      • Ability to work overtime or after normal business hours. Must be willing and available to work early and late shifts, occasional weekend assignments, and overtime based upon the needs of the business.

      • Ability to adapt to third party technologies (RF guns, Voice Picking,)

      • Ability to differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code, SKU)

      • Ability to quickly and accurately cross-train and handle multiple tasks.

      • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervision, co-workers and others to achieve operational excellence.

      • Reliable, self-motivated team player with a positive approach to assigned tasks and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

      Rate Range: $16.00 to $21.20 per hour
