Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate - Quality Control is responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of products being received, stored, and shipped from the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that products meet company quality standards before they reach customers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and have a strong commitment to upholding quality in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify correct quantities, product condition, and accuracy of the order.
Perform visual and physical quality inspections of products to identify any defects, damage, or non-conformance with specifications.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of inspection results, rejected items, serial number verification, and other quality-related documentation.
Help ensure that inventory in storage is properly labeled, organized, and meets the company's quality standards.
Perform periodic audits of products in the warehouse to check for any signs of wear, damage, or other quality concerns.
Communicate any issues related to quality or inventory discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments for resolution.
Assist with basic warehouse duties such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping when needed.
Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse efficiency and quality control processes.
Process all damages and return orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Resolve zero pick issues and search for products, maintain the wave planning process during 2nd shift.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the HVAC or similar distribution industry
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (team building) skills
Strong commitment to customer service, having positive attitude and maintaining a safe working environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the HVAC industry
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in PC skills and experience with inventory and shipping/receiving systems
Current Forklift certification
