      Job Title: Warehouse Associate***

      Pay: $17-18/hour

      Job Description

      The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in facilitating multiple aspects of material handling and warehousing under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.

      Responsibilities

      • Facilitate receiving, handling, and shipping of sales, distribution, and service orders using computer-based inventory handling software, forklifts, pallet jacks, battery-powered pallet jacks, and various packaging equipment.
      • Perform and document scheduled checks of the facility and inventory as directed by department personnel and/or supervisor.
      • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Continuous Improvement 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste.
      • Confirm, follow-up, initiate, and close deliveries on a timely basis.
      • Create orders for operational supplies and consumables, as well as confirm, follow-up, and maintain orders.
      • Participate in cycle counts.
      • Facilitate above processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in forklift operation.
      • Strong understanding of inventory and material handling.
      • Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems.
      • Proficiency in shipping and receiving procedures.
      • Ability to operate pallet jacks and perform cycle counting.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on computer-based ERP inventory management systems: Preferred.
      • Valid driver's license that meets insurance standards.
      • Material handling certification, such as forklift operator's certificate.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
