  Warehouse Associate

  Job Summary: A warehouse worker in a distribution center is responsible for various tasks related to the receiving, organizing, and shipping of goods. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Unloading:Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places.
  • Inventory Management:Sort, organize, and store inventory in the proper location. Perform regular inventory audits to ensure stock is physically present and in good condition.
  • Shipping:Pack goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels, and ship items in a timely manner. Load trucks for outgoing shipments.
  • Inspection:Inspect products for damages and report any issues to management.
  • Equipment Operation:Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Safety and Cleanliness:Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Documentation:Process paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments. Use RF scanners to ensure all inventory is accounted for and accurately logged into the system.
  • Team Collaboration:Work closely with the distribution team to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

  Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina:Ability to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail:Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Technical Skills:Familiarity with warehouse machinery and equipment. Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Safety Awareness:Knowledge of safety and health regulations in a warehouse setting.

  Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Certification to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.43/hr.
