      General Summary

      Plan and execute receiving and delivery activities including preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with unloading and delivery of product at destination and processing any returns.

      Will drive vehicle within service area; palletize required supplies and deliver to facilities in a timely manner.

      Perform materials cycle counts, physical inventory and data entry of information into the computer. Perform other warehouse duties as required.

      Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

      It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.

      Major Duties and Responsibilities

      Essential Tasks

      Complete and submit trip sheets daily.

      Receive, process and document all supply related to requests and deliveries from warehouse inventory including direct purchases and shipments.

      Verify accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing the invoice to the order and assure all goods are in acceptable conditions.

      Drive (Non CDL) vehicle within service area.

      Stage and stock received supplies in appropriate storage locations.

      Make daily routine deliveries of goods to internal customers (HQ and DS Offsite locations) within a timely manner.

      Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.

      Perform loading and offloading of supplies.

      Assist in pulling orders for delivery.

      Conduct / perform supply cycle count and physical inventory as required.

      Participate in continuing education by attending inservice training, seminars, and other workshops as required.

      Perform vendor warehouse runs as needed and deliver goods to requesting department.

      Recognize vehicle malfunction problems; take appropriate steps in solving and notifying supervisor as required.

      Perform walk around check of vehicle prior to departure.

      Operate computer terminal.

      Operate all WHSE related equipment (ex: Pallet jack, Forklift).

      Inspect and maintain vehicle equipment and supplies, such as fuel, oil, coolant, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.

      Operate vehicles in a safe manner and abide by all traffic laws.

      Promptly report vehicle repair needs.

      Perform minor vehicle maintenance.

      Keep vehicles clean (inside and outside).

      Assist in monitoring temperature and fire alarm systems.

      Performs other duties as assigned.

      Non Essential Tasks

      Assist other departments with inventory, shipping/receiving support as needed.

      Participate within CMS department rotating on calls / afterhours coverage.

      Assist in pulling orders for delivery.

      Ensure building is secure at all times.

      Education

      Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.

      Licenses and/or Certifications

      Texas Operators Driver’s License

      Experience

      Requires three or more years of driving experience.

      Prefer two years of Inventory or related experience. Prefer one year of Box Truck experience.

      Knowledge

      Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

      Must be or become familiar with San Antonio and surrounding areas.

      Must acquire a working knowledge of warehouse and/or Materials Management knowledge.

      Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

      Skills

      Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

      Must be capable of communicating well with multiple level audiences.

      Must have strong customer service skills.

      Must have some computer skills.

      Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions. Vehicles include, but not limited to, passenger car, cargo van and large (non CDL) Box Truck.

      Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.

      Must be professional, organized, detail oriented, communicative, and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

      Must maintain good working rapport with all departments.

      Working Environment

      Works in well lighted, air conditioned and heated vehicle or office environments, but may work in confined spaces and non climate controlled conditions.

      May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment.

      May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on call.

      Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
