Job Description

- Load and unload trucks with raw goods and finished materials
- Replenish inventory by moving raw materials and finished goods from overstock into fixed bins
- Practice First In First Out (FIFO) when moving inventory from one bin or location to another
- Fulfill requisitions from shipping by moving needed inventory to the shipping area for stocking
- Assist in inventory management and inventory transfers using wireless handheld scan equipment
- Put away inventory from truck or manufacturing into overstock using appropriate equipment
- Let down overstock inventory using appropriate equipment to replenish fixed bins
- Perform various inventory transfers, (i.e. bin to bin, block and unblock, and storage location to storage location)
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Assist with cycle and year-end inventory counts
- Identify and properly handle potentially hazardous materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
- Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with ERP systems a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of all software applications applicable to the position and of all functional areas of the Warehouse
- Properly handle warehouse equipment and machinery
- Support a positive work environment
- Be flexible and willing to support new ideas, concepts, procedures, and techniques
- Support and participate in communication between shipping, manufacturing, and the warehouse
- Integrate knowledge of basic concepts, principles and theories in area of specialization
- Solve straightforward problems and seek guidance as needed
- Complete all required training and assessments outlined by Human Resources and leadership
- Maintain quality and quantity standards as outlined by leadership
- Maintain performance appraisal standards as outlined by Human Resources and leadership
- Position may require the use of proper chemical handling methods as outlined in the required training
- Position may require the use of personal protective equipment as outlined in the required training
- Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
- 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required

- Stay awake, alert, and focused during late-night hours (as applicable)
- Frequently bend, squat, stand walk, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity
- Lift 50+ pounds repeatedly on a daily basis
- Occasionally sit, climb, and kneel
- Frequently read and comprehend, write, perform basic mathematic calculations, communicate orally and reason and analyze
- Frequently work around moving machinery and equipment
- Work around strong scents
- Understand First In First Out (FIFO)
- Read reports, computer screens, etc.
- Accurately enter data into a handheld wireless scanner
- Read small screen on the handheld wireless scanner
