For a well established (40 years in business) food distribution company with a stellar reputation for helping others.
POSITION: Warehouse Receiving Clerk
WEEKLY SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday (Saturday and Sunday available for O.T)
SHIFT: 7:00 am to completion
PAY: $18.00 to $19.00 hourly / plus OT
The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incoming Shipments: Verify and maintain records on incoming shipments, including bills of lading. Assemble and prepare orders for shipment. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and recording shortages. Correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
- Outgoing Shipments: Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and supplies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklift, walker palletjack, stand-on ride-on palletjack, hand truck, and hand scanner to facilitate shipping and receiving activities.
- Material Handling: Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Data Entry and Quality Control: Perform data entry and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Computer Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using computers.
Bilingual Spanish is a huge plus
