      We are seeking a Supervisor to join our team at our headquarters location in Hodgkins, IL.

      Reporting to warehouse Operations Manager the Supervisor Leads an hourly team and influences the entire distribution team to do the fast-paced work required to run the distribution center as efficiently, safely and productively as possible. Experience in dealing with small parcels. This role is responsible for ensuring prompt, efficient and accurate handling of merchandise as well as contributing to the development and implementation of the distribution team’s goals. This role is responsible for coaching, evaluation, development, and discipline, of hourly associates. This role has management responsibilities for 20 to 40 hourly associates.


      Managing Process: Ensures all operations procedures are followed effectively and identifies and recommends needed changes to Operations Manager on the standardized processes for the functional area. Evaluates and analyzes current work methods and recommends ways to eliminate inefficiencies.


      Coaching and Developing Associates: Guides associates in daily operations, and monitors to ensure a high degree of productivity, safety, service and quality. Responsible for coaching and feedback of hourly associates and performs regular evaluations of associates through factual data. Uses discretion to provide coaching and counseling to associates regarding job performance, methods of performing job tasks. Resolves associate relations issues that arise in assigned functional area.


      Drives Results: Monitors order picking, packing and shipping process to ensure on time delivery of all customer orders with 99.4% order accuracy and quality. Maintains inventory accuracy and control; reviews reports identify area of improvement for key metrics including productivity, accuracy, quality and expenses.


      Reviews reports and business metrics with Warehouse manager to ensure maximum optimum staffing requirements for each department of operations.

      *****This job requires the Warehouse Supervisor to spend most time on the floor working with team associates.*****


      Safety Requirements:

      • Work if performed while standing, sitting and/or walking,
      • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
      • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
      • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
      • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.


      Education and/or Experience

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
      • Two to three years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have the ability to work in a team environment.
      • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
      • 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field
      • Three (3) years of related experience and/or training

      Skills:

      • Computer skills in software including Microsoft Office; Excel experience a plus
      • Experience with voice-activated picking systems, such as experience with Numina software is a big plus
      • Proven warehouse experience is a plus
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

      Language Skills:

      • Ability to read, speak, and write in English. Bilingual capability is a plus.

      People Management: Assesses skills and manages the work and productivity of others while coaching and developing talent.


      Creative Thinking: Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem.
