      Job Purpose

      The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for management of all inventory, including Procurement, inbound receipt, proper storage, outbound shipping, and inventory accuracy. Demand Planning for raw materials and finished goods; including usage analysis to establish stock levels, product quality, cycle counting, physical inventory, safeguarding AN business principle, and HSE commitments

      Responsible for Logistics Department in regards to inbound and outbound shipments, cost review for billing from 4PL program, managing personnel in shipping and receiving, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

      Complexity of product mix and type of customers requires co-ordination with R&D/Procurement/Scheduling/Production/ Quality Control/and Finance.

      Must be able to understand and comply with HSE standards, AkzoNobel Life Saving Rules, waste management system, Product Stewardship procedure, distribution and road safety requirements, incident reporting, product SDS and proper PPE related HMIS system. Must actively participate in safety programs and be able to perform daily checklists and 5S participation.

      Key Responsibilities

      Raw Materials
      Setting up raw materials in SAP as approved by SM, HSES, & R&D
      Managing Procurement for raw materials and supplies
      Long-term planning for raw materials (Bulk, Imported, Off-site storage)
      Managing in-bound raw material receipt & storage (1 person)
      Cycle Counting & Inventory management for Raw materials
      Communication with CLX regarding inbound issues, approval of total freight charges.
      Knowledge resource to Production /Operations for material status as needed

      Finished Goods
      Cycle Counting & Inventory management for Finished Goods
      Managing out-bound Finished Goods Team and Process (2 to 3 people)
      Tracking & Communicating issues with back orders
      Communication with CLX regarding outbound issues as needed, approval of unusual freight charges.
      Knowledge resource to Customer Service & Sales team regarding finished goods

      Production / Operational Support
      Back-up to Production Manager
      HSES Support for functional area
      Demand Planning support and scheduling for production; including reviewing capacity needs with production and working gout what can be done to meet requests from commercial team.

      Level of Autonomy

      Position may make decisions regarding material movement into and out of the facility. Position evaluates raw materials scheduled for delivery and makes decisions for action to correct raw material purchasing plans to meet expected customer demand. Position reviews SAP entries for accuracy and updates as necessary. Updates and publishes reports on critical KPI and customer metrics. Authorized and expected to maintain accurate inventory records.

      Job Requirements

      • High school diploma
      • 3 years experience minimum
      • Lead and enforce safety working behavior and practices
      • Teamwork support necessary to support the common goals of peers and work group
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and SAP programs
      • Flexible – adjusting to changing priorities
      • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
      • Strong organizational skills
      • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
      • Knowledge of Forecasting, Logistics, and Purchasing basic preferred
      • Ability to follow directions and provide reliable results and observations
      • High sense of responsibility when making decisions
      • Ability to keep accurate, legible records
      • Self motivated with high standards for performance
      • Must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to the changing needs of the Company
      • Personable – able to work with a wide variety of people with a positive attitude

      Education

      The salary range for these skills is: $59,000 - $84,900. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
