Job Description
- Req#: 00017129
- Unloads material deliveries, reviews shipments for accuracy, books material receipts in SAP and stores material in accordance with Company Policy.
- Pulls and selects materials required for maintenance, repair, operations, and other departments at the Refinery; loads material for delivery and/or shipment.
- Performs Staging responsibilities.
- Performs cycle counts, receiving and shipping duties, and ensures proper documentation has been completed.
- Identifies inventory discrepancies, receiving and issuance discrepancies, and takes appropriate action. Communicates effectively with team members regarding inventory status and any issues that arise.
- Coordinates the monitoring and control of inventory in conjunction with the Material Controller and Warehouse Manager.
- Maintains records in accordance with the Company’s records.
- Performs daily housekeeping tasks related to keeping a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
- Completes training as required, including specialized training specific to the job requirements.
- Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, special projects and review of transaction records for problem resolution, etc.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 – 5 years related experience in materials management and warehousing in support of MRO or construction inventories preferred.
- Must be able to successfully obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire or available course offering. (Subject to DOT Rules and MPC Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy)
- Must have valid drivers license at time of hire.
- General knowledge of refining or similar industry material, 2+ years preferred.
- SAP or other ERP system Material Management Module experience, 2+ years preferred.
- Forklift certified or prior certification desirable.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing to climb ladders/rolling stairs and work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, & willing and able to work in inclement weather.
- Occasional overtime and emergency callouts.
- Microsoft office 365 proficiency preferred.
