Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and packing orders, labeling products, shipping and receiving goods, operating a standup forklift, and managing inventory. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products from shelves based on order specifications.
• Pack products securely and efficiently to ensure safe delivery.
• Verify the accuracy of orders before packing.
• Label products and packages according to company standards, ensuring labels are correctly applied and legible.
• Prepare shipments for dispatch, including weighing, labeling, and documentation.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and update inventory records.
• Inspect received goods for damage and report discrepancies.
• Safely operate a standup forklift to move products and materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using the forklift.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
• Organize and store products in designated areas.

Essential Skills

• Experience in picking, packing, and labeling products.
• Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations.
• Ability to operate a standup forklift safely.
• Strong inventory management skills, including regular inventory counts and record maintenance.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production.
• Mechanical assembly skills and ability to read blueprints.
• Must have steel toe boots for day one.

Work Environment

• Work in an indoor warehouse facility.
• The position is full-time with shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM during the summer.
• Steel toe boots are required as part of the dress code.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
