- Delivery of the Warranty Recovery Corporate Recovery Target by managing the day-to-day activity
- Lead the review of the supplier's performance, processes & procedures, their applications & suitability to determine their correct levels of responsibility.
- Assist the UK end to end parts returns process ensuring compliance and control.
- Drive & support route cause analysis, containment & corrective action activity with the CoC, Suppliers & other cross functional teams.
- Review supplier testing results and act accordingly to maximise recovery opportunities, through Bench Top Studies, Data Mining, Video testing, R&D Coding alignment.
- Maximise and prioritise the required suppliers visit cadence based on a data driven approach i.e., top X suppliers.
- Identify the requirement for improved supplier test parameters in parallel with WSOW. Drive the completion of any 3rd party testing activity identified and recognise the requirement for WRAP event and assist / lead through to completion / Support warranty cost reduction programs as required.
- Assist the creation of accurate technical packs to support any JLR business case, as required.
- Support technical / working level reviews in person or remotely as identified / required for both internal & external stakeholders.
- Ensure pipeline of supplier projects is planned and developed in readiness for escalation.
- Undertake any other work as directed by management teams in connection with their job as may be requested.
- Recent up to date technical knowledge of vehicle systems, their interaction, purpose and effect on each other.
- Some demonstrable experience with some or all of PD, PVT, Technical Centres, Manufacturing, STA, Marketing Sales & Service.
- Full Driving Licence.

WHAT TO EXPECTWarranty Recovery is integral pillar within Quality Performance (QP), as part of the wider Automotive Quality (AQ) corporate function within Jaguar Land Rover. The key deliverable for Warranty Recovery is to recover the losses from the supply base where they have supplied defective components, as a result of their design / manufacturing, leading to a customer warranty claim. Our performance forms part of the overall AQ annual scorecard, as a contributor toward the corporate Warranty SPU.
This role requires extensive interaction across the whole JLR global supplier network to ensure the correct level of financial recompense is identified and secured for JLR. It focuses on enhancing the suppliers test capability through continuous improvements and positive challenge in the areas of root cause investigation. In parallel, this will enable the proportional liability & acceptance leading to the commercial negotiation and settlement of an increasing number of agreements, on an ongoing daily/ quarterly basis.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
In order to be considered for this position it is advantageous to hold a formal qualification such as Degree
within Engineering or any other relevant subjects (Qualified vehicle technician or similar), and background in the Automotive Industry.
The successful candidate needs to have knowledge of root cause analysis, its tools and techniques (8D / DMAIC) with experience of trouble shooting & diagnostics, & experience of automotive systems, with an ability to analyse and understand trend data with a level of IT literacy (Excel, Power Point); ability to travel at short notice if required as well as to travel overseas as and when required (Ad Hoc).
