      We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Water division and build innovative projects, such as wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, water processing and control plants, and stormwater management.       The Wastewater Treatment Construction Manager reports directly to the VP Operations and is accountable for providing the overall planning, leadership, and management for wastewater projects in excess of $250 million dollars.

      Terms of Employment: Full time & Permanent

      Job location: Calgary, Alberta

      Salary range: $175,000 - $250,000 per year with potential for annual bonus and annual salary adjustment.

      As a Wastewater Treatment Construction Manager at Graham your responsibilities will include:

      • Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge and experience in the construction of conventional biological nutrient reactors, the installation of thermal hydrolysis facilities for solids handling, and bio-gas collection and storage for use in a co-generation facility.
      • Determine the quantity of budget estimates/deliverables to the client.
      • Select key personnel and subcontractors for the project.
      • Oversee the project administration and daily operations.
      • Monitor and control construction activities through value-added communication to on-site superintendents to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
      • Anticipate and mitigate potential risk.
      • Maintain a timespan of control of 18 months + for the project or portfolio.
      • Oversee, manage, and coordinate the efforts of Field Supervision and labour in the area.
      • Direct and approve the project resources required (people, tools, equipment, materials, internal and external services).
      • Apply expertise to ensure proper project planning, scheduling, staffing, cost control, and management are in place.
      • Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with external stakeholders, including public (large municipalities) and progressive private sector clients.

      Qualifications/Experience:

      • A diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction, or related industry plus over three years of wastewater treatment construction experience delivering a variety of different contract models; stipulated prices, construction management, unit price contracts, negotiation of guaranteed maximum price contract OR in lieu of diploma or degree, over ten years of wastewater treatment construction experience delivering a a variety of contract models; stipulated prices, construction management, unit price contracts, negotiation of guaranteed maximum price contracts.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage large complex wastewater treatment projects.
      • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
      • Construction management experience leading high-value wastewater treatment projects.
      • Construction experience related to conventional Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR), thermal hydrolysis facility for solids handling, and bio-gas collection and storage for use in a co-generation facility.
      • Experience overseeing large project teams of 300+
      • Extensive knowledge of the industry’s Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) techniques and standards, as well as Occupational Health and Safety standards.
      • Demonstrated experience in preconstruction phases, providing input and direction in constructability reviews, logistics, and safety planning.

      Compensation and Benefits:

      • $175,000 - $250,000 per year with potential for annual bonus and annual salary adjustment
