Maintains water distribution and sewer systems for the Reservation (including the Casino, Outlet Center, and RV parks). Monitors the wells and water tanks to ensure that the proper water levels in tanks are maintained and that the pumps are working properly. Performs a variety of maintenance duties for the Reservation, including painting valve caps, poles, blow-offs, and tanks; using a weed eater to clear brush from all service boxes, connections, hydrants, valve caps, and well houses; assisting in maintenance and repair of fences; and rounding-up cattle in off-limits areas as needed. CORE SCOPE OF POSITION - Learns to perform the various tasks associated with the maintenance and operation of a water distribution system. Learns the proper use of tools and equipment required to perform the job. Under direction, participates in the installation, repairs and replacement of water mains, water services, valves, fire hydrants and water meters.
