      This Opportunity

      WSP is currently initiating a search for a Water/Wastewater Intern - Summer 2025 for our Phoenix, AZ office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

      This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

      Your Impact

      • Work alongside clients in industrial, mining, and municipal industries to engineer and develop water treatment solutions.
      • Assist and further develop skills in project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
      • Consult with and assist water treatment plants across Arizona.
      • Utilize opportunities to design as well as support existing water treatment plants.

      Who You Are

      Required Qualifications:

      • Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
      • Must be 18 or older.
      • Demonstrated interest in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
      • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
      • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
      • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
      • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
      • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
      • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
      • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on water or wastewater treatment with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
      • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Visio, or Pipe-FLO.
      • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
