- Regularly meet with staff in areas to provide supervision, guidance, training, case collaboration and support. Coordinate and ensure the proper completion of program monthly reports, case plans, major incident reports, progress reports, discharge summaries, client attendance rosters, case notes, client files, intake/discharge paperwork and all other documentation and reports related to client, program and agency functions. Ensure coverage of all services. Ensure that contract objectives/requirements are met.
- In consultation with the Northern Division Vice President of Operations, recruit, train, evaluate, motivate and discipline personnel. Responsible for employee work schedules and time sheet review/completion. Review vacation, training and reimbursement requests. Follow established ACS operational policies, procedures and guidelines. Plan and hold staff meetings. Facilitate problem solving by serving as first line contact for employees. Develop, plan and initiate appropriate employee orientation and training.
- Maintain professional verba l and written communication with contract sources. Ensure that quality client care and public relations is established and maintained. Maintain close, cooperative relationships with law enforcement and other community justice/human service agencies to promote public safety and successful program operation.
- Ensure that all agency and client documents, files, contracts, etc. are maintained in an organized, confidential manner. Oversight of general office duties; monitor supply orders and approve purchases according to agency policies and procedures. Accountable for reviewing and routing of bills/receipts. Responsible for weekly communication with Northern Division Vice President of Operations. Attend and participate in supervisory and management meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or a closely related field required; Master’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising, leading, and managing staff.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in day treatment outpatient programs and/or transitional living programs, residential, or corrections.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills
- Supervisory/Management skills
- Excellent organizational/program(s) coordination skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Agency vehicles are provided.
- Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of AODA\Criminal Justice Systems
- Group experience with correctional clients is preferred
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to enforce policy, procedures, and rules using
- Ability to make good judgment calls in non-routine situations
- ACS will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection.

ATTIC stands for "Alternatives to Traditional Incarceration of Citizens." We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing interventions that enable individuals to avoid unnecessary levels of incarceration, enhance community safety and provide a setting that facilitates treatment and the reduction of recidivism. We operate residential and other correctional programs throughout Wisconsin that provide case management, counseling and treatment groups, vocational training and high-risk client monitoring and supervision.
The Wausau Area Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations, supervision, and management of correctional programs in the Wausau region. The person in this position works with and reports to the Northern Division Vice President of Operations regarding site supervision decisions, staff changes and up to date program operations, and must maintain the confidentiality of all client, program and agency information.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Occasionally driving to meetings, interviews, and new employee onboarding is approximately 15% weekly. An Agency vehicle is provided.
