Job Description
- Req#: 12359
- Write, edit, and update product titles, descriptions, and metadata with a focus on SEO and brand voice.
- Ensure product copy is accurate, informative, and aligned with Zumiez’s tone and customer expectations.
- Peer-review and proofread copy for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Maintain and update product attributes within the e-commerce platform.
- Research vendor websites to gather additional product information.
- Upload and manage US/Canada crossover product data daily.
- Track and manage product samples, transfers, and inventory across multiple departments and locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that affect online orders.
- Execute bulk updates to product information, sometimes affecting hundreds of SKUs.
- Support the production of catalogs, outfit guides, hard launches, and pre-sale campaigns.
- Generate and analyze reports to maximize online product availability.
- Assist with quarterly inventory audits and related tasks.
- Strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Solid understanding of the Zumiez customer, brand assortment, and current market trends.
- Demonstrated copywriting skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and typing skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with SEO best practices in product merchandising.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and product information management systems.
- Prior copywriting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Regular use of hands for typing, handling samples, and operating office equipment.
- Ability to distinguish colors and materials.
- Office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer.
- Occasionally required to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Use of ladders, hand trucks, and other equipment as needed.

The Web Copywriter / PIM Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that all Zumiez products are accurately represented and ready to sell across digital and print platforms. This position is responsible for crafting compelling, brand-aligned product copy and maintaining accurate product data for the Zumiez website, print catalog, outfit guides, hard launches, and pre-sales.
This role collaborates closely with the PIM team, Distribution Center, and over 600 stores to ensure products are properly categorized, photographed, and published online in a timely manner. From purchase order to customer delivery, you’ll help drive sales by ensuring product content is optimized, complete, and engaging.
