What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and customize user-friendly websites for small, independent retailers using WordPress
- Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to maintain website security, performance, and compatibility
- Design and develop custom elements and plugins to enhance website functionality
- Collaborate with the design team to implement creative and responsive website designs
- Identify and resolve bugs, errors, and performance issues to ensure smooth website operation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in developing websites using WordPress
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins, including custom development and troubleshooting
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, well-tested websites
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with user testing platforms like Maze
