      Website Content Manager

Location: Hybrid (Regular travel to Greensboro, NC corporate office required several days per month)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Website Content Manager to take full ownership of the content across a portfolio of 250+ property websites. This role ensures that all digital content—including website structure, imagery, floor plans, and copy—is accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand standards.

The Website Content Manager will also be responsible for creating new websites as we take on new developments or properties under management, using established templates and internal SOPs to ensure consistent setup of settings, integrations, and content. Additionally, this role will manage and maintain integration with key property software platforms, such as Rent Café, to ensure seamless connectivity and data integrity.

This position consolidates responsibilities currently spread across multiple team members to streamline and optimize our web and software presence.

Beyond these skills, the role is expected to embody Hawthorne's Live It culture, characterized by serving people and communities with kindness, leading with a servant's heart, and making memorable moments an integral part of our business approach.

This is a hybrid position that will require regular travel to our corporate office in Greensboro, NC, several days each month to collaborate with team members and participate in in-person meetings or project work.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Serve as the single point of accountability for content across the company’s portfolio of property websites
      • Audit and update websites regularly to ensure accuracy of images, floor plans, amenities, promotions, and written content
      • Complete a full audit of each property website four times per year, targeting approximately 22 websites per week to ensure timely and consistent quality across the portfolio
      • Manage and maintain updated photo libraries and floor plan files for each community
      • Create, edit, and standardize website copy to reflect consistent branding, tone, and voice
      • Own the creation of new property websites for both new developments and properties coming under management, using established templates and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate setup of settings, integrations, and content
      • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to execute updates, integrations, or enhancements
      • Coordinate with site teams to gather updates related to property changes, specials, or new assets
      • Ensure all websites comply with ADA and SEO best practices
      • Set up, monitor, and maintain software connections and integrations, including platforms like Rent Café, to ensure data consistency and functionality across all websites
      • Track and report on the health of website content and software integrations and identify opportunities for improvement
      • Maintain a structured schedule to ensure regular content refreshes and system updates

      Qualifications

      • 3+ years of experience in website content management, preferably in real estate, multifamily, or related industries
      • Proficiency with website CMS platforms such as Yardi, WordPress, or similar systems
      • Proficient in using Rent Café or similar property management and leasing platforms for online applications, resident services, marketing listings, and lead management to optimize property operations and resident engagement
      • Experience managing software integrations, especially with property management platforms like Rent Café
      • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to consistency and brand voice
      • Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility standards for web
      • Highly organized and capable of managing a large volume of content and software connections across many sites
      • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage timelines effectively
