1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
Recurring weekly now - indefinitely (we understand a student being gone for winter break!) We are looking for a sitter to help out our family one morning and one afternoon a week totaling 8-10 hrs a week (It can be flexible around exams etc). Ideally, this would happen in two chunks of time, one morning and one afternoon, and be consistent each week, but we are willing to work with the right candidate to make a schedule that works for both of us! This can also be rearranged at semester as class times change. Option for more hours and/or date nights is also available!
We have 2 children - 4 and 1.5. Our daugher is in 4K most mornings, so depending on the time, it may just be our son home. We live in the Hawks Landing area in Verona and pay $18-22/ hr depending on experience. We prefer someone who is CPR certified or open to attending a class. We require a valid drivers license, own mode of transportation and ability to provide 2 babysitting references. We'd love someone who has a background in early childhood education or is taking course in a related field (nursing, speech therapy, etc.) I will often be working from home, so someone with an easy-going personality who is comfortable with this is a must!
Qualifications:
- must have a car and valid drivers license
- be a college student (grad, undergrad, recent grad)
- has experience babysitting
- able to provide 2 babysitting references
- strong communication skills
- CPR certified
- familiar with childhood development and age appropriate activities
- able bodied to keep up with high energy toddler
- comfortable with baby cares (meal prep, diaper changing, etc.)
