      Basic Job Functions:

      The responsibilities of the Weighmaster include but are not limited to process all inbound and outbound truck shipments (Bills of Lading). Create and transmit all rail bills via EDI. Maintains verification of scale weights and verifies detection devices. Assist truck drivers with information and direction as they enter and exit the plant. Serve as the final verification of accuracy of all outbound truck shipments. This is a crew rotating position. Teammates are expected to attend toolbox meetings and provide proper turnover prior to the start of their shift. Teammates must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends and holidays as business conditions warrant.

      Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      High School Diploma or equivalent

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in transportation or processing of transportation documents
      • Knowledge of Bills of Lading, customs documents, railroad billing, and EDI
      • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, CarrierPoint, and AS400
