- Must be able to read and interpret GD&T drawings and CAD models, work instructions, and weld procedures.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
- Must be able to do shop related mathematics
- Receive, check, and verify subassemblies needed for work orders and help resolve discrepancies
- Fabricate and weld various parts correctly using drawings, work procedures, and specifications
- Check and inspect work at in-process and final check points per weld procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Have familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering, in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment. Six sigma lean, green belt, or black belt preferred.

About This Role
Textron Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Electron Beam Weld Engineer (EBW) to work closely with our manufacturing engineering group. This role is located at our Wilmington, MA facility.

Other Qualifications
· Experience in setting up, programming, and operating electron beam welding machines is wanted.
· Experience with Pro-Beam Electron Beam Welding systems is a plus. Experience with programming EB welders using Siemens 840D controls is also desired.
· Security Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance.
