      Job Purpose

      Typically, this person will be performing precision welding on components and control systems used in the subsea industry, using specialised orbital welding equipment to achieve welds to strict industry standards.

      Job Description

      • Prepare and set up welding equipment, including orbital welding machines, power supplies, and gas systems. Ensure all necessary materials, such as pipes or tubes are clean, properly aligned, and ready for welding.
      • Program and calibrate orbital welding machines based on specific project requirements. Adjust welding parameters, such as current, voltage and rotation speed, to achieve the desired weld characteristics.
      • Operate orbital welding equipment to perform high precision welds on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and exotic alloys.

      You are meant for this job if:

      • Experienced as an orbital welder or similar role, with a strong emphasis on the use of AMI welding equipment and autogenous and wire feed welding processes.
      • Must have a industry recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
      • Experience in a weld shop environment.
      • Product knowledge and HSES.
      • Problem solving - ability to define problems.
      • Good organisational skills.
      • Working knowledge of office tools and multiple company platforms (SAP) - desireble.
