The Position:
A welder performs general welding assignments for any/all areas of the plant in order to support the production goals.Requirements:• Ability to use pneumatic power tools and equipment of all types.• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.• Ability to perform and remember how to perform multiple tasks from day to day.• A favorable background screening, Drug Screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States is required for employment.• Ability to weld on a flat, curved or vertical surface.• Ability to set a welding machine, including the gas, volts, amps, and wire speed.• Ability to weld in a variety of positions, particularly overhead.• Be able to make minor adjustments to the welding equipment as needed.Responsibilities:• File, grinds or scrapes sharp edges, burrs, scales or rust from work pieces.• Properly load raw materials, parts, into the welding machine.• Remove work piece and scrap from machines.• Hammer out bent or warped spots in metal.• Sort, mark, tag finished work.• Transport material or signal crane operator to move materials.• Compare work piece with straight edge or template to verify conformance to specifications.• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.Why Should You Apply?• Like mechanical, dynamic welding work?
