      Job Description:

      ***This position is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus***

      This position will be based on the Hampton, AR Work Crew. This position is subject to both pre-employment and random DOT drug testing. This position is responsible for performing certified pipeline welding duties, shop welding and fabrication and other non-welding activities associated with general pipeline maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include:

      •Complete welding activities associated with the repair and maintenance of company pipeline and facility assets.
      •Ensure weld quality meets visual and NDE inspection requirements and are functional and free from defects.
      •Perform work in a safe manner complying with all relevant company policies, OSHA, DOT and/or safety requirements.
      •Ensure company equipment, materials and tools are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.
      •Perform other pipeline related maintenance activities including line locating, exposing pipe, lifting and transporting equipment/materials, coating application and removal, pipe surface preparation and other general pipeline maintenance activities.
      •Safely operate hand tools including beveling machines, torches, grinders, etc.
      •Responds to high priority and emergency situations to limit the impact to personnel, the environment, and public safety.
      •Safely operate company welding truck and equipment between job sites including travel on interstates, highways, county roads, dirt roads etc.
      •Other duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor/manager that are consistent with the scope of the position.
      •Maintain all industry required welding and Operator Qualifications (OQ) and associated certifications.

      Requirements:

      • Requirements

      • High School diploma or equivalent required
      • A CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL within 12 months of hire
      • Intermediate skill level in welding
      • One year of direct experience in working with pipeline terminals operating systems or in a related industry or have other industry related experience that shows maturity and safe work habits in an industrial environment
      • Competence in math
      • Must be able to read blueprints and other construction documentation and create as built drawings
      • Must be able to use various power and hand tools
      • Must be willing to accommodate overnight travel (70%)
      • Must be familiar with safe hot work practices, confined space regulations and DOT pipeline safety regulations
      • Must be required to independently support pipeline/terminal welding and maintenance activities which includes becoming certified to weld per API 1104 and API 1107.
      • DOT Operator Qualification will be required following employment
      • Must be able and willing to respond to callouts and emergencies after hours including weekends and holidays
      • Must be able and willing to work hours outside normal business hours as scheduled and required by management
      • Must be able to work independently as well as with others
      • Must be a self-starter and willing to adapt to rapidly changing conditions
      • Computer experience preferred
      • Initiative and organization abilities for meeting deadlines and establishing priorities required

      This position will require an individual to hold a valid drivers license.

      When a higher-level position exists candidates with greater qualifications may be considered for the position.
