Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to repair all mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG/Stick welding with .035 and .045 wire with dual shield flux core, and perform mechanic work on conveyors, dozers, crushers, and other large mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair all mining equipment.
• Perform MIG/Stick welding with .035 and .045 wire with dual shield flux core.
• Conduct mechanic work on conveyors, dozers, crushers, and other large mining equipment.
• Heat and bend steel for fabrication tasks.
• Read prints, drawings, and schematics for welding and fabrication projects.
• Perform fit up, grinding, cutting, and other related tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding with at least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with flux core welding using 332 fluxcore wire.
• Ability to fabricate by heating, bending, and grinding steel.
• Capability to read and interpret prints and drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience welding with 1/16” dual shield/flux core.
• Experience using an air arc.
• Willingness to perform tasks beyond welding, such as fit up and grinding.

Work Environment

Work in a covered shop with a schedule of Monday to Thursday and 8 hours on Friday, from 5am to 3:30pm during winter months. Some Saturdays may be requested. The work environment emphasizes safety and efficiency, ensuring that all equipment and conditions are conducive to a productive workday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
