- Perform underground, water, sanitary, waste, PVC, and copper plumbing tasks.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Work with pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using various tools and methods such as couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, sinks, and toilets.
- Engage in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes to required angles using pipe cutters, hand or power tools, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.
- Study building plans and inspect structures to assess materials and equipment needs, establish the sequence of pipe installations, and plan installation.
- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, hangers, passage holes, or fixtures using measuring instruments.
- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
- Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems and extend piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
- Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, repairing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
- Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine correct work procedures.

Job Description
This role involves working on the construction of brand new apartments in Tallahassee. Responsibilities include underground work, pre-fabrication, checking levels, installing plastic pipes, and ensuring proper installations. Experience in new commercial construction is essential as you will be assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems in compliance with specifications and plumbing codes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
