Job Description
Join the Capital Planning & Facilities (CPF) team dedicated to creating, maintaining, and preserving a functional and sustainable campus. As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will install and maintain roofs across the campus, with a primary focus on hand railings. Your work will also involve various other campus facilities requiring sheet metal roofing installation or fabrication.
Shift: M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Perform metal repairs on mobile or stationary equipment.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Install door hinges, panic bars, thresholds, motorized projector screens and mounts, and toilet partitions.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, roof gutters, and overhead doors.
- Install and repair roofing and flashing materials.
- Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.
- Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cements, rivets, solders, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
