      We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Coordinator to be based at Sue Ryder St Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough

      About you

      To be successful in your application to the post of Wellbeing Coordinator, you will hold a qualification in healthcare, social care or healthcare support services.

      Main duties of the job

      About the role

      The Wellbeing Co-ordinator provides day to day support to patients and those close to them who are coming to terms with an end-of-life diagnosis or who are actively dying or are grieving

      They will take a holistic approach to an individuals emotional wellbeing, and will focus on what matters to me, connecting people to appropriate diverse community groups, other support organisations or statutory services for practical and appropriate support, with the support of trained volunteers.

      Experience

      Essential

      • Experience of working within palliative care services including an understanding of public health in palliative care and the ethos of compassionate communities
      • Experience of working in voluntary or community sector including managing or supervising volunteers
      • Experience of working collaboratively with other groups and organisations to meet the needs of individuals - sourcing and providing links with and integrate ongoing support with other providers
      • Understanding of the needs of small volunteer led community groups and the ability to support their development
      • Experience of organising, planning and prioritising own workload including under pressure and in extremely challenging emotional situations.
      • Ability to identify risk and assess/manage risk when working with individuals

      Desirable

      • Social prescribing experience advantageous
