      Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wetland Scientist to support our growing Natural Resources team. This role will assist project managers in executing a range of environmentally focused projects involving wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and water resource permitting.

      This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, science-driven work in a collaborative and dynamic consulting environment.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Conduct fieldwork, planning, and technical support for wetland delineations, natural resource inventories, permit compliance, regulatory documentation, and related environmental surveys.
      • Assist project managers with tasks related to environmental assessments, reporting, and data analysis.
      • Coordinate project schedules, manage field staff logistics, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones within budget constraints.
      • Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts in collaboration with the project team.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and regional environmental regulations and build relationships with regulatory agencies.
      • Participate in internal training, peer review processes, and team mentoring activities.
      • Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
      • Work independently and collaboratively to problem-solve and support new project initiatives.
      • Promote a culture of safety and professionalism both in the office and during field activities.

      Education & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.
      • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in wetland delineation, botanical and wildlife surveys, or environmental permitting.
      • Strong technical writing skills with experience conducting QA/QC of reports and datasets.
      • Previous consulting experience and experience with renewable energy projects are highly desirable.
      • Familiarity with state and federal environmental permitting processes is preferred.

      • Self-motivated with sound professional judgment and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
      • Proficient in time management and adapting to evolving project needs.

      Other Requirements:

      • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
      • Willingness to travel, including overnight, for fieldwork and project support as needed.
      • Primary work may be performed in an office or remote setting, with occasional fieldwork required.
      • Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and professional development.
