      Location: St. Vincent Medical Center

      Shift: Days/Full-time

      SUMMARY:

      Position involves using WIC computer system for data entry, scheduling appointments, answering phones/making calls, filing, greeting WIC clients entering office and determining eligibility for services. Will be assessing height, weight and Hemoglobin (fingerstick) for WIC clients (women, infants, and children).

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

      • Acts as receptionist, greeting visitors/employees to department in person or by phone. Responds to inquiries concerning the department and refers inquiries as necessary to appropriate person/area.

      • Maintains basic department record keeping and filing systems.

      • Schedules WIC appointments.

      • Follows up with all missed appointments by phone or email.

      • Promotes breast feeding to WIC participants.

      • Completes Hemoglobin testing on WIC participants using Hemocue machine.

      • Assess WIC participants for program eligibility.

      • Enters data into WIC computer system, runs reports and prints WIC Coupons from WIC computer.

      • Monitors and orders standard office supplies and WIC forms.
