      Job Description

      Our Wind Farm Technician is a critical and active role, maintaining optimal function and output of Statkraft Wind Farms. Duties will include daily practical wind turbine generator exposure on multi brand platforms, executing and maintaining all required maintenance and safety during all wind farm activities. The wind farm technician partners and communicates with the site manager and lead technician to execute all contractual requirements and timelines, ensuring continuous alignment with Statkraft excellence.

      Essential Responsibilities

      As the Wind Farm Technician for Statkraft Energy ltd, you will:

      • Ensure a positive working environment.
      • Achieve AT & SAP status.
      • Support the site manager and lead technician in all areas of Statkraft operating requirements.
      • Supporting the execution of contractual obligations as per the customer requirements
      • Perform, maintenance repair or replacement of parts to rectify malfunctions (WTG & BOP)
      • Use maintenance documentation reporting tools and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement.
      • Provide hands on technical support and supervision for multi brand wind turbine generator equipment and power delivery systems as well as balance of plant.
      • Enable teammate’s ability, productivity, and awareness to work safely, and to stop work when necessary.
      • Support driving an injury free workplace culture by facilitating safe working practises.
      • Participate in site specific and corporate policy training programmes, safety programmes and work practises, and all related updates as required

      Qualifications

      • Flexible working hours and on-call
      • Whenever possible provide second person support for the on-call Technician.
      • Full UK driving licence.
      • Willingness to travel at short notice.
      • Understanding of wind turbine generator electrical, mechanical, hydraulic schematic drawings and technical manuals procedures / regulations
      • High voltage operation as part of balance of plant duties
      • Willingness to learn new technologies
      • Wind turbine experience
      • The ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the wind farm.
      • The ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision.
      • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic experience
      • Experience using hydraulic power tools and general turbine specialist tooling
