      Regional Repair Technician

      Description:

      • In this role, you will provide aircraft window services for customer-owned corporate jets, including Cessna, Hawker, and Beechcraft models
      • Inspect aircraft windows and evaluate defects for airworthiness
      • Repair scratches, pits, and other damage to aircraft windows
      • Remove and install windshields and windows
      • Use orbital sanders with different grits of sandpaper to repair the damaged area
      • Review, interpret, and understand the tech data as it relates to the function of the job
      • Responsible for acquiring the purchase order from the customers as per the quote. Schedule with the owner/operator and/or maintenance manager when our services will be performed. Complete and provide billing information and evaluation forms to our home office in Wichita, KS after the work is performed
      • Travel as required to customer’s locations via ground transportation, air, or airlines
      • Perform weekly expense reports detailing the costs of gasoline, entertainment, customer relations, etc.
      • Sign-off on all work orders and maintain traceability of parts to the appropriate work order
      • Develop and grow the sales area for the assigned regional market.
      • This work is done while standing on the wings, in and out of the cockpit, in and outside of the plane
      • Other duties may be assigned

      Details on Travel:

      • This position requires 25% travel across an assigned regional market
      • Most of the travel is based around scheduled maintenance/inspections, so schedules are normally set in advance. There will be some travel that will require an on-call response.
      • All travel expenditures are paid for by the company
      • There will be required training in Wichita, KS for 1-2 weeks

      Desired Experience:

      • FAA A&P License is preferred
      • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance or production experience is required
      • Experience using an orbital sander is preferred
      • Candidates must be able to travel 25% of the time

      Compensation:

      • $60,000/yr - $80,000/yr
      • There is potential for project completion bonuses

      Work Schedule:

      • 1st Shift (either 7a-4pm or 8a-5p)
      • Typical week is 40-45 hours, but some projects may require longer hours
      • This position requires 25% travel
      • Travel is typically Monday through Friday, but some weekends may be required depending on the project
