      Department Overview:

      Cambridge Winery offers award-winning wines from Wisconsin and CA's central coast at its two wine tasting rooms, Madison and Cambridge. Our tasting rooms are elegant, jazzy and intimate, giving our customers a relaxing and memorable experience as they journey through our wide selection of wines and gourmet food. Wine stewards can expect to learn considerably about wines, work side-by-side with knowledgable and hard-working staff, and meet gracious customers.

      10 to 12

      Schedule:

      Manditory one or two shifts a week 4-8 hours each. Availability of nights and weekends a must.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $10.75 to $30.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Do you have knowledge or the desire to learn about fine wine? Cambridge Winery, the operators of Madison's first and only wine tasting room, are looking for new members to join our outstanding team to assist with our wine sales and service. We are also hiring for the Cambridge location (tranportation required).

      Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

      • Wine service, presentation, and tending bar
      • Wine sales in a retail capacity
      • Some appetizer and food preparation and service
      • Stocking of our products and merchandise
      • Cleaning of glassware and seating areas
      • Cleaning and maintenance of our wine tasting room
      • Must be at least 18 years of age
      • Other duties as assigned by management

      Qualifications:

      Applicants must:

      • Be of legal age to serve alcohol
      • Have evening and weekend availability
      • Maintain a positive attitude
      • Show independent initiative
      • Be able to work as part of a team
      • Excellent people and communication skill

      Ideal candidates would (but are not required to) possess:

      • Basic understanding of wine and wine production
      • Previous restaurant and/or sales experience
      • Previous experience in a retail environment
      • Desire for continuous improvement
      • Reliable transportation

      Physical Demands

      Ability to lift a full case of wine - approximately 40 pounds and be on your feet for 4-8 hours a shift
