- Provides direction and support to Wire Transfer staff for daily functions within the department; and provides hands-on assistance within the department as needed.
- Directs team to ensure adherence to compliance guidelines, and policies/procedures to achieve maximum operational control and soundness.
- Promotes a service culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Manages performance of direct reports and provides ongoing coaching and training opportunities to ensure staff has the skills and resources to be successful. Responsible for timely completion of performance evaluations of assigned staff.
- Lead the Wire Transfer Specialist staff with support and knowledge to ensure a positive customer experience while FSB policy, procedures and processes are being adhered to.
- Trains, motivates, and cross-trains Wire Transfer staff on responsibilities to ensure consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance following bank standard operating procedures.
- Works closely with the Deposit Operations & Controls Manager to implement new technologies, enhancements to the wire process, remediate customer complaints and responds to escalated issues as appropriate.
- Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior Experience: 7+ years: Banking experience with a focus in Deposit Operations
- Education: Associate Degree
- Prior Experience: 5+ years Type: Wire Transfer experience, knowledge of JHA and/or proficiency using JHA Direct Line Wire
- Effective communication skills both, verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet assigned deadlines.
- Dependable in meeting regular attendance requirements and schedules established for the department.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Responds to requests in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a focus on customer needs.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Experience with Windows-based PC’s and Microsoft Outlook with ability to learn new and existing banking software.
- Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.

Position Title: Wire Transfer Supervisor
Reports To: Deposit Operations & Controls Manager
Department: Deposit Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Purpose : The Wire Transfer Supervisor is responsible for leading Wire Transfer operations while ensuring adherence to compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures. They will provide leadership to the Wire Transfer staff while working closely with internal business partners on initiatives to enhance customer and employee experiences.
This position must demonstrate an ability to multitask, work as a Wire Transfer Specialist and work independently on projects, while providing internal support to Wire Transfer Specialists. They will serve as a liaison between management and staff. The Wire Transfer Supervisor is responsible for motivating, inspiring and managing the performance of staff while creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages teamwork, and demonstrates flexibility and approachability.
