      Job Description – WH Design & DMU

      Specific knowledge:

      • Good understanding of overall vehicle design and vehicle development process.

      • Good Skills in UG-NX Modelling, NX tubing, NX Electrical.

      • Good Knowledge on Sheet metal Design

      • Understanding of vehicle electrical systems and wiring harness routing

      • Good Knowledge on Plastics Design

      • Engine, Engine peripheral, Transmission, Engine mounts

      • Understanding of Crash behavior and pedestrian protection.

      • Basic knowledge of Hybrid and Electric vehicle architecture.

      • Basic knowledge of High voltage battery, On-board charger, power electronics, charging socket, E-motor.

      • Know How of vehicle bill of material and vehicle configurations, Engineering Change Workflow

      • Work experience in PDM/PLM tool/Virtual Reality

      • Expert in MS Office Suite

      • Knowledge of various Vehicle Regulations & Homologation requirements.

      Project Responsibilities:

      • Understanding of functioning of various control systems, ECUs, Electrical- Electronic functions inside the Passenger cars.

      • Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, Connector, electrification, DMU, packaging, and related Engineering requirements.

      • Technical expertise of vehicle Schematics development.

      • Awareness of relevant Legal requirements and system level functions and Testing.

      • Understanding of Product development process & Project timelines

      • Experience in engineering Supplier governance.

      • Experience of handling field issues, idea generation & problem solving.

      • Strong inter-personal skills to work effectively with Suppliers & cross-functional teams across the globe.

      • Strong in technical Decision-making.

      • Awareness of future technological advancement in Wiring Harness development such as Battery, High Voltage will be an added advantage.

      • German language skills & global project experience is an added advantage

      • Experience of working on MB norms, standards & processes will be an added advantage

      • Additional Advantage: CAD Tool: Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, PREEVision

      • Awareness of PLM systems.
