      Position Description

      Advertised Job Summary
      Coach an intercollegiate women’s soccer program at the University of South Carolina
      Union. Responsible for planning, directing, and coaching. Enforce safety regulations and procedures. Set schedules for practices and games.
      Be knowledgeable of all NJCAA and Region X rules. Assist the Athletic Director with NJCAA compliance and guidelines.
      Recruit an appropriate number of players per year to be able to compete in NJCAA Soccer and train recruits in the fundamentals of soccer.
      Be knowledgeable of the game of soccer and understand different types of formations.
      Provide tours for soccer prospects.
      Attend scheduled soccer practices and all competitions.
      Responsible for fundraising ideas and completing them throughout the year.
      Provide ongoing oversight of student athletes’ conduct both on and off the field.
      Assist with conflict resolution, development of positive interpersonal relationships including campus integration with other students and faculty.
      Attend assigned campus, department, regional and division meetings as required.
      Be knowledgeable of Presto Stats Systems and be responsible for entry of all scores and stats.
      Be responsible for all travel arrangements to include scheduling of games, bus drivers, and hotel bookings.
      Responsible for communicating with referees to inform of game times and any changes or cancellations.
      Responsible for scheduling trainers to attend all home games.
      Maintain uniforms, equipment, and any other soccer related items.
      Responsible for properly maintaining a budget and working with the Business Office on team expenditures.
      Maintain affiliation with NJCAA Region X Conference (after the required year of club competition before being eligible for NJCAA competition).
      Qualifications
      High School diploma and coaching experience.
