- Ensures accurate and timely invoice posting through the use of Hyland OnBase and Brainware
- Processes invoices for multiple entities in Workday which includes the matching of supplier invoices to purchase orders, contracts and supporting documentation
- Responds to internal and external inquiries through a central Accounts Payable inbox and call line
- Collaborates with Accounting staff and various members of other departments to resolve discrepancies
- Assists with the maintenance of the master supplier file
- Performs monthly journal entries related to various expense and sales tax accruals
- Analyzes and reports on key supplier accounts
- Ensures Accounts Payable transactions are processed timely and in accordance with policies and procedures, and meet statutory requirements such as 1099 and sales tax
- Trains new AP Specialists on standard procedures
- Reports to the AP Lead on a daily basis regarding departmental goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Experienced in an ERP Accounts Payable system, preferably Workday
- Intermediate in Microsoft Excel including experience with VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and IF statements
- Experienced in coding invoices for multiple entities
- Candidate can communicate effectively in verbal and written form to management, co-workers, and suppliers
- Approach work with a “can-do”, team-orientated attitude

General Description:
The Sr. AP Specialist will work as part of the Accounts Payable team. The individual will perform full-cycle accounts payable function while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and assist in month-end close activities. The individual on as needed basis will assist the AP Lead on projects and training AP Specialists.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or other related field
Experience: 2 or more years of accounting or finance experience required. 4 or more years of accounts payable experience preferred.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
