      Overview / Responsibilities

      Wood is currently recruiting for Work Permit & Visa Coordinator to join our team in PNG and working out of the LNG Plant Site. We're looking for a professional who will partner with local supervisors and leadership to provide guidance and coaching for the effective management of our people and organisation within PNG sites. Reporting to People & Organisation, Resourcing & Compliance Team Lead, the successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for any work permit & visa related employee queries. You will take on a range of responsibilities including:

      Responsibilities

      • Provide advice relating to Employment of Non-Citizens (work permits and visas)
      • Liaising with the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations and Immigration and Citizenship Services regarding work permits, visas and passport issues
      • Responsible for providing advice and guidance to new employees on how best to obtain required documentation and complete process smoothly
      • Work collaboratively and cohesively with other P&O team members to maintain consistency within the function

      Skills / Qualifications

      • Degree level qualified (desirable)
      • At least 5 years previous work permit & visa consultant experience
      • Extensive knowledge of PNG work permit & visa process
      • Train and mentor junior staff
      • Proven ability to develop a good understanding of business issues/commercial awareness and how to identify and deliver solutions to meet business needs
      • Excellent communication skills

      This role is for PNG Nationals only. Candidates must have full work rights in Papua New Guinea to be considered for this role.
