What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust claims in accordance with claim handling standards and laws
- Establish reserves and provide reserve recommendations
- Review and approve medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices
- Negotiate settlements and oversee outside vendors for designated claim files
- Maintain personal diary on claim system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good analytic and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented and self-starter with strong organizational abilities
- Reliable attendance within client service hours
- 3+ years of California Workers' Compensation claims experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AIC, ARM, or CPCU Designation preferred
