      Description

      We are seeking a forward-thinking Strategic Workforce Planning Consultant to help build and enhance a robust workforce planning function within Emory Healthcare.

      This internal consulting role will analyze workforce data to forecast talent needs, create predictive supply and demand models, and identify organizational risks.

      The Consultant will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, and Learning & Development to develop and support strategic workforce plans that align with Emory Healthcare's mission and long-term growth objectives.

      Strategic Workforce Planning:

      • Analyze internal workforce data (e.g., turnover, vacancy trends, hiring patterns) to develop predictive models and future-state planning scenarios
      • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to proactively identify talent gaps, skill shortages, and workforce risks
      • Develop and support multi-year workforce plans aligned with operational priorities, financial goals, and evolving care models

      Cross-functional Collaboration:

      • Partner with HR business partners, Finance, and operational leaders to convert workforce insights into practical, strategic initiatives
      • Collaborate with Learning & Development to address skill gaps and build internal pipelines
      • Facilitate planning workshops and consult with leaders to ensure alignment and execution of workforce strategies

      Analytics & Insights:

      • Translate complex workforce analytics into compelling, actionable insights using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms
      • Provide data-informed recommendations to senior leadership, contributing to informed talent and operational decision-making
      • Conduct scenario planning to evaluate the impact of organizational changes, including expansion, mergers, or new service line launches

      Operational Alignment:

      • Align workforce plans with staffing needs, budget constraints, and organizational KPIs
      • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of workforce initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly
      • Contribute to workforce governance and continuous improvement of planning processes

      Advisory & Innovation:

      • Offer strategic input on recruitment, retention, and workforce efficiency initiatives
      • Track and analyze external labor market trends to inform competitive workforce strategies
      • Recommend solutions that improve employee engagement, workforce sustainability, and operational readiness

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
      • Minimum 2 years of experience in strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics, or related consulting roles
      • Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Organizational Development, or related field
      • Experience in Healthcare, a plus
      • Workforce planning, HR analytics, or project management certifications preferred (e.g., SWP, SHRM-SCP, PMP)

      Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

      • Proven ability to distill data into clear and actionable strategies for senior leadership
      • Adept at using visualization and dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
      • Skilled in scenario modeling, strategic foresight, and what-if workforce simulations
      • Effective communicator with a consultative mindset and cross-functional leadership experience
