      What you'll do

      Our Joule Development Team in Walldorf is looking for a new working student (f/m/d), a team player who is open for new challenges, opportunities, and learnings and enjoys working on a team atmosphere.

      As a working student (f/m/d) for Joule, the SAP Digital Assistant, you will enjoy using the latest technologies to enable various business units to make use of best-in-class technology. You will make business applications understand natural language and with that reach millions of end users. You will participate in our software development tasks and contribute to our test automation.

      Joule is part of SAP CPEX AI Unit. The aim of Joule, the generative AI assistant, is to revolutionize how our end users interact with SAP business systems, making every touchpoint count and every task simpler. We are bringing a conversational interface to every SAP product and are helping our Lines of Business leverage conversation in their applications. SAP Digital Assistant is a product unit with teams in Germany (Walldorf), France (Paris), India (Bangalore), Singapore, and the US (Palo-Alto).

      What you bring

      • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
      • Preferred fields of study: Computer science, mathematics, computational linguistics, or related
      • Programming skills in Java and practical experience with Spring Boot
      • Experience with TypeScript and DevOps
      • Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
      • Passion for technology and interest in the domains of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing

      Meet your team

      Join our scrum team in Walldorf, which is responsible for the digital assistant run-time.
      We care about each other, stick together and organize common activities. As a new team member, you will benefit from our onboarding plan and your buddy, who will guide you through the first weeks.

      You will work closely with product owners to deeply understand the business requirements, with development architects to discuss implementation designs for the Joule services, and with data scientists to connect Joule to Large Language Models.

      You can enhance your programming skills by contributing to Joule together with an experienced scrum team. Take the opportunity to learn and grow by using cutting edge technologies like Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Large Language Models.

      Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships).
