- Serve as point person for overall supervision of all staff, programs, and recreational sports facilities including opening facility, closing facility, and managing customer-related situations and emergencies
- Ensure student staff (lifeguards, front desk staff, climbing wall staff, and fitness staff) has arrived and performing duties as assigned.
- Inspect building prior to opening for proper cleaning and safety
- Handle all facility access issues to include Fusion software, barcode scanners, etc.
- Provide feedback to all student supervisors concerning issues and incidents in their areas
- Ensure incident and accident reports are filed when needed
- Lead and/or assist with any maintenance issues involving the pool
- Assist in the supervision, policy enforcement, safety and risk management of the WREC
- Provide quality customer service to all users and be able to handle policy infractions swiftly and decisively
- Attend facility and departmental staff meetings
- Relieve weekend Facility Evening Supervisor for breaks
- Use of security cameras to monitor facility access
- Assist with special events, if requested
- Notify student employees of policy and/or procedural changes affecting the operation of the WREC
- Ensure proper use of facilities and equipment
- Prepare reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with security and safety practices
- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs (interior and exterior)
- Perform simple maintenance, custodial and other duties as needed or assigned
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Fusion access software and WREC building operations
- Handling and storage of hazardous materials, including the proper use and storage of cleaning and pool chemicals preferred
- Custodial equipment and processes
- Principles of supervision, employee development, and performance evaluation preferred

Associated Students is now hiring for the position of WREC Student Facility Supervisor . This is a part-time, non-benefited student position that will work no less than 8 hours per week, and no more than 20 hours per week, while school is in session. The pay rate is $18.20 per hour. The schedule for this position is based upon department needs and is subject to change at any time. To be eligible for student employment, you must be enrolled at CSU, Chico and maintain at least 6 units (undergraduate student) or 4 units (graduate student) throughout the course of employment.

WREC Student Facility Supervisor
SUMMARY:
WREC Student Facility Supervisors are responsible for evening, weekend and holiday supervision and management of facility operations at the Wildcat Recreation Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED:
Student Front Desk Attendants, Student Custodians, Student Fitness Staff, Student Lifeguards, Student Climbing Gym Staff.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is an independent and dynamic position requiring constant movement in and around a typical recreation facility. Work is performed in an office, outdoors, and in equipment/storage room environments; exposure to dust, heat, pool chemicals, electrical, and mechanical equipment; contact with staff, vendors, outside contractors, and the campus community.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
No specific educational requirements. Demonstrated successful work experience in a related field such as facility management, event management, fitness, or university recreation required. Can be substituted with demonstrated successful work experience in a student lead or supervisory position managing employees and work areas.Preferred Requirements:
Experience in a related field in a university/college environment is highly desirable. Preference is given to those individuals with building and/or staff supervision experience in a recreation facility setting.Special Requirements:
· Ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of start date.
