- Coach’s individual participation in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved
- Plans and schedules a regular program of practices throughout the season.
- Encourages academic success in the classroom by maintaining student eligibility records
- Works closely with the athletic director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests
- Recommends the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms
- Plans and conducts tryouts for sport being coached
- Maintains necessary paperwork (attendance forms, tryout records, insurance forms, student physicals, etc.)
- Enforces discipline and sportsman-like behavior at all times
- Oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students
- Oversees the safety conditions of the facility & equipment on assigned sport
- Participates in professional growth activities as scheduled
- Assists Athletic Director in the planning and supervision of an annual recognition program for school athletes
- If necessary, submits all media requests to Sandy Zalewski, (Director of Communication and Development) for publication. At no time should coaches submit articles or interviews directly to media groups.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional expertise in the sport being coached
Has current CPR/ AED certification prior to first scheduled practice of season
Responsible professional behavior
Knowledge of game rules and league regulations
Demonstrated skills in youth leadership
Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people
Participation in Coaches Certification Program
