Job Description
- Req#: 12393
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in writing for undergraduate students; tutoring will occur during Writing Center hours and may take place in Oesterle or online.
- Provide constructive and appropriate feedback by reading, reviewing, and critically questioning student writing.
- Monitor and record student appointments.
- Attend required tutor trainings and monthly meetings.
- Must be currently enrolled as a North Central College student or will be enrolled for Fall, 2022.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must have earned B+ or better in a first-year writing course, demonstrating strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to tutor at the Writing Center for both the Fall and Spring semesters of the academic year and commit to working a minimum of 4 hours a week (for 2 hour slots).
- Able and willing to complete 6-8 hours of paid training.
