  D Shift Fri - Sun 6PM-6AM

  $20.85

  This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

  Essential Functions:

  • Move the correct trailer from yard to door.
  • Set reefer units at appropriate settings.
  • Check to see if reefer units will start.
  • Communicate with the dispatcher and follow instructions.
  • Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance.
  • Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck.
  • Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on the shuttle truck at the beginning of the shift.
  • Will be asked to provide coverage at the guard shack when coverage is needed or during periods of less volume.
  • Will be required to complete lot checks, perform yard sanitation, and all other duties assigned.
  • Must adhere to the salvo lock policy in full compliance.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of dock doors

  Special Skills Required:

  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must have a clean safety record with no DWI/DUI in the last 12 months.
  • Internal applicants must have 6 attendance points or less to be considered.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of hook up for tractor and trailer.

  • Must be willing to tolerate extreme cold and extreme heat (12 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to bend at waist and knees on a repetitive basis (9-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to twist and turn (9-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to climb in and out of truck cab on a continual basis (9-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to walk throughout the day (9-11 hours per day).
  • This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
