      Job Description

      As an Accounting Analyst, you will provide accounting support for our Yardbird outdoor living space teams. You will be responsible for supporting the month end close process through gathering information from business partners, preparing journal entries, analyzing variances, and performing account reconciliations. You will take on accounting projects as they arise along with continuous process improvement and efficiencies. This role will work closely with our Yardbird teams (specifically the operations and outbound logistics team), and other internal finance partners.

      This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

      What you’ll do
      • Manage various payables and sales adjustments to support the business
      • Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
      • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet account reconciliations.
      • Provide reporting and analysis of monthly financial results.
      • Record daily cash deposits from sales and intercompany transactions.
      • Reconcile daily sales activity with Shopify by recording activity not automatically imported into the ERP system.
      • Process merchandise and outbound freight invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Work with our treasury team to schedule ACHs/wires and ensure payment is received for outstanding credits.

      Basic qualifications
      • 6 months of work experience in an accounting or finance capacity
      • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

      Preferred qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, economics, business or related field
      • 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, business or related field
      • Foundational knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
      • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
