      The role of the Yoga Instructor

      The Yoga Instructor will create and deliver yoga classes for all guest and residences. They will guide all guest and residences through various yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices in a safe, effective, and engaging manner. The yoga instructor will also provide individualized attention and modifications to meet all guest and residences needs, assess progress, and develop lesson plans.

      Essential Functions

      • Develop lesson plans and sequences appropriate for all guest and residences and skill levels
      • Teach and demonstrate yoga poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices
      • Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate all guest and residences needs and injuries
      • Monitor all guest and residences progress and provide feedback to promote growth and improvement
      • Incorporate a variety of yoga styles and practices into classes, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Restorative, Yin, and others
      • Create a welcoming and supportive environment for all guest and residences
      • Educate about yoga philosophy, anatomy, and alignment principles
      • Maintain a clean and safe yoga space, including props, mats, and equipment

      Knowledge and Skills

      Education:

      • High school education or equivalent experience
      • Certification in yoga instruction from a reputable organization, such as Yoga Alliance or YogaWorks

      Experience:

      • One (1) to two (2) years of teaching experience, preferably in a studio or gym setting
      • Prior experience in a luxury environment
      • Prior experience in a variety of yoga styles and practices

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment
      • Ability to read and speak and write English and Spanish
      • Understand and familiar with quality standards and service standards of the hotel
      • Highest level of integrity and transparency
      • Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations
      • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
      • Reasonable problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
      • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
