      Job Overview:

      Recruit youth to participate in Agency programs aimed at reducing juvenile crime and delinquency. Assist with implementing THA sponsored events and activities assisting youth with developing academic excellence, communication skills, life lessons, and athletic abilities. Part time positions with a transition to Full time during the summer.


      Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

      • Outreach youth and families with flyers, posters, social media to market programs and activities for out of school time, summer programs, and field trips
      • Implement program services and athletic programs for youth
      • Organize and carry out the plans and schedules for seasonal programs, activities and games
      • Maintain proper documentation and reports on youth in Tracking At-a-Glance (TAAG)
      • Interact with parents, teachers, schools, and other agencies in support of successful outcomes for the youth
      • Enforce safety procedures for program services, activities and games
      • Secure necessary equipment and materials
      • Assist youth with completing homework assignments
      • Provide youth with career guidance resources for on- the- job training, apprenticeships, internships, vocational, college, or military services
      • Perform related duties as assigned

      Required Qualifications:

      Education level

      High School graduation or GED equivalent.

      Experience

      One year of experience in social work, community outreach, sports leadership, or working with youth in a group setting.

      Specific skills

      • Excellent oral communication skills.
      • Active listening skills
      • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
      • Knowledge of academic, social, and recreational youth programs
      • Skilled in creating, planning, and implementing youth engagement activities

      • Responsible for the safety and security of youth during activities

      Certifications

      Requires Level II Background Clearance.

      Licenses

      Valid Florida Driver’s License

      Insurable under the agency’s insurance policy
